How to choose the random packing and structured packing?
The filler material is divided into three categories: ceramic, metal and plastic.
(1) Ceramic packing has good corrosion resistance and heat resistance, ceramic packing is cheap, has a good surface wettability, brittle, fragile is its biggest disadvantage. It is widely used in gas absorption, gas washing and liquid extraction.
(2) Metal packing can be made of a variety of materials, mainly considering the corrosion problem when choosing. Metal packing can be made into thin-wall structure, its flux is large, gas resistance is small, and has high impact resistance, can be used in high temperature, high pressure, high impact strength, the most widely used.
(3) Plastic packing the material of plastic filler mainly includes polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The plastic packing has good corrosion resistance and can resist the corrosion of general inorganic acid, alkali and organic solvent. It has good temperature resistance and can be used below 100°C for a long time. Plastic packing is light, inexpensive, has good toughness, impact resistance, not easily broken, can be made into thin-walled structure. It is widely used in absorption, desorption, extraction, dust removal and other devices.
