The adsorption of substances by molecular sieves originates from physical adsorption. The internal cavities of the crystals have strong polarity, and they exhibit strong adsorption capabilities for polar molecules (such as water) and unsaturated molecules. Sieving function: The pore size distribution of molecular sieves is extremely uniform. Only substances with diameters smaller than the pore diameters can enter the internal cavities of the molecular sieves. Types: Zeolite or synthetic zeolite. Common types of molecular sieves: 3A molecular sieve, 4A molecular sieve, 5A molecular sieve, 13X molecular sieve, 13X APG molecular sieve, Oxygen-rich molecular sieve, XH series refrigerants, and for insulating glass.
1.Industrial desiccant type: Mainly used for the application of equipment desiccant packages and deep drying of air compressors. Common types include 3A molecular sieves, with a common specification of 3-5mm. In the process of using insulating glass, the main type is 13X molecular sieves, with a main specification of 1.5-2.5mm.
2.Oxygen production molecular sieve type: Molecular sieves are the key component for oxygen production, with an oxygen concentration of 93-96%. The rate of oxygen production varies according to different equipment specifications. Molecular sieves for oxygen production are usually of the 5A type, with a conventional size of 3-5mm.
3.Air separation equipment type: Air separation equipment refers to equipment for separating rare gases in the air, such as helium, nitrogen, argon, etc. Common types include 13X molecular sieves, with a specification of 1.6-2.5mm.
4. Catalyst carrier type: Molecular sieves have excellent carrying capacity. By taking advantage of their developed pores and good adsorption ability, they can be used as carriers for various catalysts. At the same time, they have good adsorption capabilities for heavy metals, arsenic compounds, and fluorides in water bodies.
