About Alumina Silica Gel
CHEMXIN Alumina Silica Gel is white or grey microporous spherical particles with a high microporous structure, but also insoluble in water and inorganic acids, soluble in hydrofluoric acid and concentrated caustic soda solutions, and with high mechanical strength. The product is a non-homogeneous forming silica gel made from general purpose silica gel after further processing.
Alumina Silica Gel (WS), i.e. water-resistant Alumina Silica Gel, has better adsorption and separation properties than ordinary silica gel, significantly improved water resistance of the particles and increased durability against humidity changes and pressure changes. It can be used as a desiccant, adsorbent, catalyst carrier, etc., while maintaining a range of properties of the original common type of silica gel.
Main Applications
It is mainly used for air drying in the process of air separation, acetylene adsorption in the preparation of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, compressed air and various industrial gases drying, as a liquid adsorbent and catalyst carrier in the petrochemical, electric and brewing industries, and as a protective layer for ordinary silica gel and Alumina Silica Gel
When this product is used as a protective layer, its dosage is about 20% of the total amount used.
