A fire escape mask, also known as a filter-type fire self-rescue respirator, is mandatory safety equipment in public places such as shopping malls, hotels, and office buildings. Its core design consists of three main protective components:

Pre-treatment stage: Incoming air first passes through the molecular sieve layer, where moisture is selectively adsorbed before entering the catalyst layer.

Catalytic reaction stage: Carbon monoxide in the dried air is oxidized into CO₂ on the catalyst surface, while activated carbon adsorbs other toxic gases.
