KA101 Activated Alumina is a smooth, spherical adsorbent which is used in industry in selectively removing COS, CO2, H2S, and CS2 from hydrocarbon streams

Applications
KA101 Activated Alumina can be used in a wide variety of different applications. In the following some of these are indicated in more detail:
1. An important application is the use as adsorbent for the removal of CO2 from ethylene in front of PE units.
2. Another application is the removal of COS from propylene in front of PP units.
3. KA101 Activated Alumina is also used in the treatment of comonomers for removing COS and H2S impurities.
4. In on-purpose units producing propylene via dehydrogenation or metathesis, KA101 Activated Alumina is regularly used to remove COS or H2S.
5. KA101 Activated Alumina is used to remove COS or CS2 from olefinic C4 streams used in different applications in petrochemical or refinery units.
